Lighthouse Lookout is a is a 1300 square foot home with breathtaking views and quick access to the beach, just across the street. It was built in 2000, but the design was inspired by the Heceta Lighthouse Keeper's House. While not a 150 year old coastal cabin, there is a theme of 'warmth and comfort' from the storm. Those old buildings were-are cold and drafty - we've not had problems keeping salt shaker from caking, or candles flickering! - even when the rain is blowing hard against the house. It is a fantastic spot for watching winter storms. Ascending the picturesque staircase shown in the photo, you’ll find yourself welcomed into the heart of the home: the main living area. Here, the galley kitchen, dining room, and living room seamlessly come together, each space bathed in light and offering breathtaking vistas that stretch as far as the eye can see. This level also houses a cozy queen bedroom, a convenient bathroom, and a well-equipped laundry room. Step out onto the back deck to soak up the golden rays of the morning sun, or retreat to the grand front porch—an ideal perch for marveling at the majestic dance of whales, the graceful flight of pelicans, and the stately presence of bald eagles, along with the chorus of countless other coastal birds. Venture up the inviting inside staircase to the second floor, where the charm continues to unfold. At the top, an open loft awaits, featuring a twin bed, a desk, and a TV—perfect for both relaxation and quiet reflection. Beyond the loft lie two additional queen bedrooms and another thoughtfully appointed bathroom. From the north bedroom, you’ll be treated to a mesmerizing view of the iconic lighthouse and the enchanting sea lion caves, a reminder of the natural wonders that surround this serene sanctuary. This home is ideally situated on a quiet dead-end street, within walking distance of other delightful vacation rentals like Ocean's Edge, Heceta Beach Bungalow, Gull Landing, and Traxlers Surfside Cottage, making it a perfect choice for a family reunion or a group getaway. |
